Python Job: Data Analyst-1

S&P Global Mobility (Automotive Insights) has an opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about data and a willingness to work with a geographically dispersed Operations team. This position works with SQL/PLSQL, visualization/reporting technologies, and programming languages to produce one-time and cyclical deliverables for both internal and external clients. The team member will be responsible for collaborating in the software development lifecycle including Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Maintenance.

What You’ll Do:

• Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
• Identify process improvements within products and work to automate existing processes
• Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products or deliverables to meet customer needs
• Anticipates product or deliverable release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured use cases
• Identify, record, and document thoroughly

What You’ll Need:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• 3+ years of analytics, business intelligence, consulting, and/or strategy experience
• Problem-solving, self-motivation, and a drive for learning
• Experience in data mining (ETL, VBA, data warehouse, etc.) and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets
• Ability to work on a diverse team or with a diverse range of coworkers

A Plus If You Have:

• Experience in the Automotive industry
• 3+ years of analytics, business intelligence, consulting, and/or strategy experience strong data analytics/data science background
• Previous experience in AWS technologies
• Experience with data visualization software, preferably Tableau
• Experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, UNIX)
• Proficiency in using SQL/PLSQL to translate data into insights along with a solid understanding of relational databases
